Amanda grew up in New York participating in competitive gymnastics. After competing for the University of Bridgeport, she then moved on to pursue a career in fitness. While studying for the NASM CPT exam Amanda was introduced to CrossFit at a gym in Connecticut and was instantly hooked. She moved to Arizona to train under James Fitzgerald at OPEX. In 2013 Amanda qualified and competed at the Reebok Crossfit Games, where she won the clean & jerk ladder. She went on to win the 2014 Southwest Regionals and again compete at the Crossfit Games finishing 20th in 2014 and 10th in 2015. She was the first female professional athlete to sign with the National Pro Grid League with the Phoenix Rise. Her determination, work ethic and drive is inspiring. Her no nonsense, straight forward coaching style is a perfect fit for CrossFit Back On The Bar, we are extremely lucky to have her as part of our team.
